One Of My Least And Most Favorite Spanking Positions

Is this one

Bent over, free standing, with hands on the back of the thighs or linked behind the legs

Least favorite because

I find this hard to maintain for any length of time. It forces your spine to be curved and uncomfortable. Your buttocks are highly tensed causing the muscles to be taught and hardened, increasing the pain sensation of each impact. After any length of time the thigh muscles start to burn because of the strain they are under. The more vertical that you are required to keep your legs increases the fear that you will tip forward at every stroke or swat. It forces you to keep your head down, making you feel like all the blood in your body is pooling in your skull. And it is psychologically hard to resist moving your hands up to protect your bottom.

most Favorite because

I like to see other spankees taking their licks in this position. This is not because of some sadistic satisfaction in viewing someone else in a situation that I know is hard to handle but because I like to be a fan of spankee performers. Part of this involves developing a certain level of respect for those spankees and knowing the level of difficulty of taking corporal punishment in this position develops my respect for the performer involved.

Although I do not like to be punished in this position, I have to admit that on those occasions when I have been and have managed to maintain my physical an mental composure throughout the event, I do feel a little proud of myself.

  1. I’ve never tried that one. But it looks interesting! I will have to find it whether it is possible to keep that position without making a hunchback, though. Because I prefer positions which allow the spankee to do a straight or a hollow back. I guess I have to admit that the visual appearance is quite important to me when it comes to spanking positions… 🙂

    • I’m afraid that this position forces you to round your spine, making a hunch back, in a most uncomfortable way. This is a deliberate stress position meant to make the spankee physically strained and off balance. I don’t think that is possible to do this one with a straight back.

      • I see, Prefectdt!

Maybe it is possible to look rather elegant in that position, nonetheless. As long as the hunchback isn’t too extreme, one doesn’t necessarily look like “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. 😉 There are some people who manage to look very elegant when touching their toes, too.

I’m just not sure whether my health condition (I have some problems with my back) and my body figure (being rather short) allow me to be one of them.

Maybe the position with the hands on the knees is better for me. That is a position that I like very much when it comes to the visual appearance. It is also a position that stretches the bottom and which the spankee must maintain without any support. But I assume it is less bad for the back.

  2. If you have a back problem it is probably better to avoid this position or at least limit it to hands on thighs rather than linked behind the legs.. I think that with your looks, bent at a right angle with your hands clasped in the small of your back would be very aesthetically pleasing..

  3. I think Kaelah is undoubtedly correct – the back should be arched (“hollow”), not rounded, which is always possible if the degree of bending is not too great (i.e., with the hands much below the knees). With the hands all the way down to the ankles, some spankees won’t be able to arch the back, and no one can arch very much. Arching the back is important because it gives a better line to the body (the “visual appearance”, as Kaelah notes), and because it turns up the bottom providing a better target and augmenting the spankee’s humiliation – both key points.

    • Perhaps for another position but that is not the position that is the subject of this post. And as one of the main aims of this position is to be a rounded back stress position it would be entirely inappropriate to have an arched or hollow back for this position, even if it was possible, which is doubtful for most spankees, although there may be one or two highly trained in dance, yoga or some other discipline that could do it. Remember the start point of this post is the hands behind the thighs position not every general, free standing, bent over position.

      • O.K., I get it now, but I think that between us, Kaelah and I have pretty well demolished the desirability, if not the utility, of this position. I guess I don’t understand the desire to make the spankee suffer needlessly, and I say this from the Top’s perspective. To me, it seems sufficient that I’m making the spankee bend over and stick her bottom out as much as possible for a humiliating paddling, strapping, or caning. It’s going to hurt a good bit and I don’t see the need to “pile it on” in addition to the pain and humiliation she’s already getting.

I understand that not everyone is going to agree, but to me, stress positions are more suited to interrogating hardened terrorists at Guantanamo Bay than to loving discipline.

  4. As a spankee, I have to admit that most of the time I prefer to take mine in a more comfortable position, supported by a nice solid desk or table for example. But sometimes I feel that I have to face a challenge such as this position or taking some swats from a toy that worries me (anything metal in my case). It is a matter of spankee self respect, pride and generally proving to yourself that you can do what is hard to do, for a matter of self esteem. This kind of thing is about the spankee equivalent of climbing a life threatening mountain. I think that only a true bottom or submissive could understand.

  5. I can definitely relate to you desire to push yourself from time to time, Prefecdt! I have that desire as well and it usually ends with a rather severe caning. Stress positions seem to be interesting, too, as long as they aren’t bad for my health (that’s definitely a hard limit for me). I tried the position with the hands behind the knees in front of a mirror and it seems that I can do it without making too much of a hunchback and hurting my back. As I said, it also looks more aesthetic to me that way. I am aware that this might not be exactly how the original position is intended, but the two main characteristics remain: The position makes the spankee unsteady and it is a stress position which is hard to keep (only that the stress is more on the legs that way which doesn’t hold any health risk in my opinion).

    • I’ve read your accounts of more severe play in your posts and thought that, that was the dragon that your headspace has to face.
Since two operations on my right knee a few years ago, maintaining this and some other free standing positions have become my challenges.
I hope your back is not too much of a problem on a day to day basis.

      • Luckily my back doesn’t cause me much of a problem on a day to day basis, Prefectdt! I hope it’s the same with your knee. I also hope that you are careful with your knee when taking spankings in free standing positions. Challenging oneself from time to time is nice, but it would be awful if you needed another surgery just because of some spanking play.

  6. There is little risk of damage to the knee. It is just holding it still, under tension for any length of time causes pain and makes balancing on the balls of the feet difficult.
On a day to day basis, as long as I keep it moving, I don’t feel the knee at all.
