This might be a little old hat to some of you but I am still catching up on some stuff I could not watch whilst I was having problems with my eye and it’s intolerance to screens. But it is such a strong scene that even if you have seen it before, it is still worth watching again.
Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) Receives A Belting In The Handmaid’s Tale
I did read a newspaper article that said the belting was real but Ms Strahovski was wearing protective biker’s gear under her dress. That interested me as in the next clip she takes a look at the marks that could not be real but look like the marks of someone who is used to receiving corporal punishment regularly would get from a belting. So I have to take my hat off to the butt make up artist of this production.

That is a shock Roz. It is a brilliant drama series and an exceptional book, although I guiltily have to admit that I heard the audio version rather than reading it. I highly recommend The Handmaid’s Tale.

Wow Red, I truly thought that these scenes would have been on the “must see” list of mainstream media spankings, for every spanko. How wrong could I be? Thanks the eyesight has been less reactive to certain types of lighting for a couple of years now.
