SPANKING IT ON WORDLE

Perverting Wordle

A lot of you, especially those of you active on Twitter, will already know what Wordle is. But for those of you that don’t, it is a word game that you are only allowed to play once a day. You type any five-letter word into the first line and have six lines in total, to guess what the word is. If you have the right letter in the right place, it will show green. If you have a letter that is in the word but is in the wrong place, it will turn yellow. If the letter is not in the word, it will show up grey.

There is a better explanation of this in the following link

WORDLE THE GUARDIAN

And if you want to have a go at the game yourself, try this link

WORDLE

I got into this over the Christmas break and now it is the thing that wakes my brain up, over my morning coffee. To start with, I chose sensible words, with lots of vowels, for my first try. But soon my twisted little mind insisted that I start with spanking related words. It amazed me in the difference between the word I started with and what I ended up with. I thought that it would be nice to share a few examples here.

Spank

In 4 lines I got

Tapir

Caned

CONTEMPORARY LIFE

In 3 lines I got

Crank

Tawse

In 4 lines I got

Ferry

Dunce

In 3 lines I got

Tiger

Horse (used as a verb)

In 4 lines I got

Siege

Welts

In 3 lines I got

Troll

Some of my other efforts were also far from where they started. Scold became Unify. Whack became Rebus. Birch became Boost. Bench became Banal. Strap became Truss. Brush became Gorge.

I am running out of spanking words now, any suggestions are welcome

Or perhaps I should broaden out into general BDSM words like Bound or Domme or Clamp 🙂

Try the game, it is a lot of fun, here is the link to it again

  2. I LOVE word games!! had never heard of wordle – and following your examples have NO idea how to play (despite your instructions) I am thinking I may HAVE to check it out…….. I’ll let you know how it goes……….

    • First time you play, there are instructions on the screen, morningstar. It’s not too difficult to get your head around it.

      • OMG it was more difficult than I thought Prefectdt! played it with my 2nd cup of coffee this morning…… didn’t beat it – didn’t even come close……… le sigh

        • It’s just a process of elimination, morningstar. Try it a few more times, take your time thinking about it and never reuse a letter that has shown up grey. I think you can get the hang of it.

  3. I had not heard of this game, but I don’t do Twitter so that might be why. Sounds like a lot of fun though. Great images! XOXO

    • I don’t do Twitter either, nora, I found it through the article in the Guardian news site. Any excuse to post some interesting images, has my attention. 🙂

  4. looks like a fun game, but I usually dislike anything remotely like scrabble. A desire to always win if possible, and a poor vocabulary for obscure words, makes scrabble frustrating

    Red

    • It’s not like scrabble, Red. It is only five-letter words and each line gives you a clue as to what letters you can and can’t use and where. It is more of a word puzzle than a word game, like scrabble.

  5. I really can’t be bothered with a game you can only play once a day, my favourite free word game is Word Wipe which you can play as often as you like. I love the picture of the troll, I don’t suppose you know were it is?

    • I tend to get into games, over play them and get bored and stop doing them, Simon. Only being able to do this once a day, has made it part of my routine and got me hooked.

I think that that troll is from the artist Thomas Dambo, he has a whole woodland full of them in Denmark. But there are Troll farms, woods and parks, in various places around the world.
