Asking For Some Help With This Blog Roll

If anyone knows of currently active blogs, even if they only post once every few months, please can you tell me about them, so that they can be considered for this blog roll. I have very limited screen time, in a day, and the blog roll here reflects the blogs that I have time to follow. I want the roll on the other blog to include as many active and responsible kink blogs as possible. So it would help if you could tell me of any that you know of, that I may not have time to follow myself, in the comments box of this blog, on any post. What Is The Philosophy Of A Spankedhortic Gets Connected

It is all about building up an updating blog roll, that is a facility that all the spank blogging community can find useful and nothing else. I do not want the holier than thou desk monkeys from Google to find a lame excuse to close it down. So there are no kinky posts, just a daily photograph, so that the blog will show up in any updating blog rolls of any other Google bloggers, who are kind enough to put this blog on their roll. All the photos are taken by me, so there can be no lame claims of copyright infringement. Also, the comments boxes are closed to prevent anything from turning up in them to attract the attention of Google corporate trolls.

If you are a blogger and would be kind enough to put the new blog on your blog roll, I would be very grateful. It would be nice to see some people appreciating the effort that I am trying to make.

I HAVE A NEW BLOG (SORT OF) – ADDING TWO BLOGS – DELETING A BLOG LINK – AND RESTORING A BLOG TO THE ROLL

My New Blog That Is Really About The Blog Roll

Ever since Bonnie, of My Bottom Smarts, stopped blogging and deleted her blog roll it has been taking me a lot longer to follow all the blogs, that I usually visit. She did have the most comprehensive, updating blog roll and I do not think that there is another one out there, that has so many blogs in it. The problem with WordPress is that you cannot have the same sort of “What’s Hot” blog roll, so I Have started a Blogger blog, that has the sole purpose of housing such a roll. You can reach it by clicking on the GIF in the sidebar or the link below. It is a work in progress and will always be, as I intend to try to add as many spanking and kinky blogs to the roll as I can. I don’t think that it will ever be as good as Bonnie’s roll, but I am going to do my best to make it a good, useable resource. At the moment it only contains blogs linked on this blog, this will change as I get the chance to add other blogs to the roll, when time allows. The blog will update once a day with a single vanilla photograph (usually taken by me) and you cannot comment on the blog. Please add it to your roll, if you think that it is a good idea.

The End Of A Very Long Era

Today, Thursday the 8th of September 2022, Queen Elizabeth II came to her final rest. In my younger days, I used to be totally against the idea of monarchy and I would not say that I am very pro royalty now. But it is kind of nice having a national representative who is outside of political wrangling and biases. Also, I was an employee of a Commonwealth organization for about 11 years and so her majesty was, at least technically, my ultimate boss, during that time. The queen was a figure of stability for the entirety of her reign and should be respected and remembered for her hard work and dedication throughout over 70, often turbulent, years of service to the public and the countries that she represented. I would particularly like to thank her for her service during WWII and her recognition of the veterans of that and other conflicts.

And for having a sense of humour

NEW LAWS FOR SEX WORKERS IN BELGIUM

Finally The Law has Changed

The Belgian National Parliament, agreed on new laws for those involved in sex work in Belgium, on the 17th of March and they became active on the 1st of June 2022.

Why Do I Care About This

I do not pay for, what I consider, sexual services but I do on occasions employ the skills of professional Dommes and Disciplinarians and they come under the classification of sex workers. Some of them do offer sexual services, I do not seek that part of their services, they are offered but are not compulsory. Many only offer BDSM services.

The Situation Before

It was technically legal to participate in paid for sexual services in Belgium, both for the provider and the client. However, this law was overly simple and has a clause to stop a third party from profiting from this transaction. This was designed to penalize pimps and people traffickers and I agree with their activities being restricted or hopefully stopped. BUT, and it is a big but, this law was badly written and can be interpreted that anyone taking money earned from sex work can be prosecuted. For example, if a sex worker uses his or her hard-earned cash to buy a loaf of bread, then the bakery that sells that bread can be prosecuted for profiting from the earnings of sex work.

And Then There Were Protests

This left Belgian sex workers in a grey area of being neither officially employed nor unemployed or self-employed, although they are still expected to pay taxes on their earnings and I believe that most of them do. During the time of COVID-19 restrictions, most sex workers were unable to make a living, but were not entitled to government support and financial aid as other taxpayers were. This caused protests and highlighted the issue. And so finally a new set of laws was agreed and are now in place.

As Of 1st June 2022 The New Laws Are…

A law passed in March by the Belgian parliament came into force in June, allowing sex workers to live legally, decriminalizing their work, and awarding them rights in terms of status, social protection, and health, etc. These provisions were sought by federal Justice Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne, a Flemish liberal. They will make Belgium the first European country to adopt such measures, only the second in the world after New Zealand. In the future, sex workers (95% of whom are women) will have the same rights as other self-employed workers, including social security, unemployment, access to healthcare, maternity leave, etc. Additionally, all third parties who assist their work will no longer be prosecuted, except in cases of abnormal profit.

Until now, any banker, accountant, insurer, legal adviser or even web designer who “assisted” a sex worker could be considered the perpetrator of a crime, as were the owners of properties that sex workers used for their business. In the future, property owners will no longer be on the wrong side of the law, unless they make excessive profits by demanding higher rents than normal, as is frequently the case.

Is Spanking Play Between Consenting Adults Legal In The UK?

When I lived in the UK

When I lived in the UK (I left in 1992), that question did not really have any relevance, as you would not be prosecuted under the law, for consensual spanking, but it was registered as a sectionable activity under The Mental Health Act. This meant that you could be detained, against your will, for mental medical treatment, for however long the authorities thought that it would take them to “cure You” of your mental condition. What then?

After that it did become illegal, under two existing laws, Assault and Actual Bodily Harm. And consenting to be the one on the receiving end made the submissive party an accessory to the assailant and therefore also a criminal. The news article below, written in 2018 illustrates what the law, up until then, regarded as illegal.

And Then?

Another law was passed, banning the making of several types of pornographic material in the UK, spanking among them. And then, some of the gallant producers, in the UK, protested against this. This lead to a relaxation of how the laws would be applied, as in the Criminal Prosecution Service was guided not to persecute spanking sites unless it involved activities that would lead to permanent or long term scaring. Consequently, this also applied to couples or groups, playing for their own pleasure.

So is consensual spanking between adults legal in the UK?

Technically no. But as long as scaring does not result from the play, you will not be prosecuted for doing it, under the law, effectively decriminalizing consensual adult spanking play in the UK.
