The Cellar Or Basement
It is possibly the idea of the atmosphere of emotions that playing in a cellar appeals to some, rather than its practicality as a play room. At the end of the day, it is just another room underneath the house, but it being part of a house that is often overlooked and unthought of sets it apart from other rooms, on a psychological level.

I have a small cellar, underneath my house but before I would consider playing in there, it would have to be given a seriously good scrub down.
