Some of you might remember the controversy over the death of the Motor Racing boss Robin Mortimer in 2010 and how it was related to a BDSM incident. I came across a snippet of news about the conclusion of the court case over this in Flanders Today. There was not great detail to it so I thought that I would post the whole thing here.
Two women who were involved in afatal BDSM session in which a British businessman died have been discharged without sentence by a court in Antwerp. The women, a dominatrix and her assistant, administered laughing gas to 58-year-old Robin Mortimer, a regular client, at his own request. The court found that the women were liable but declined to sentence, which Belgian law allows. One of the women, however, was sentenced to six months for being in possession of amyl nitrate “poppers” and a Taserlike device.
I did a little Googling but found nothing else on this in English. The item was from the 6th of March this year.
The blog El tercer ojo has not been posted on for some time. It has in the past gone quiet for long periods without posting and then come to life again, so rather than say goodbye to it, it is being moved to the Dormant Blogs page.
I have had the decorator in and as you can see she has repainted the background colour of the blog. Initially this was done to make the seasonal snow more visible but I think that it makes the blog a bit less glaring on the eyes but is not dark enough to make the blog hard to read, so I thinking of keeping this colour year round. Opinions and/or difficulties that this causes are welcome or even suggestions for better colours.

The long awaited Leveson report has been published, about controlling the excesses of the UK press. It is two thousand pages and so I and most other people are unlikely to read it all but from what I have heard so far it recommends a self regulating body given real power by a Parliamentary act. The Prime Minister of the UK has unfortunately dismissed this solution already. I have only seen one other blogger post about this so far, The Spanking Writers in this post Leveson: spot on.
Welcome Mexico
I’m not sure why, as most the hits came through search engines but there was a huge increase in hits to this blog from Mexico this week. I would like to welcome all you folks from Mexico and hope that you are enjoying the blog.

Wear It With Pride
A bit late with this, this year, as the The Poppy Appeal is well under way already. Next Sunday is both Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day so if this is observed in your country it is time to put so cash in the pot and get yourself a Poppy. If not please consider donating to a fund, in your country, that supports those that give so much, that we might sleep safe in our beds at night. Goodbyeeee Miss Shanelle’s – Spanking Blog
Miss Shanelle announced that she was closing down her blog and now it is gone but she is continuing with her website and presumably her other spanking activities. It is time to wish her good luck with these things and give her a thank you for the blog now gone.
Audrey Knight has announced, in the post Goodbye, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodnight!, that she and Stefan are giving up their professional spanking activities. I’m not sure if the blog Spanking360 will continue or not, as an amateur blog but let’s hope so.
A victory over the pirates
This is not directly related to Spanking and BDSM sites but it may offer a little hope to those that are suffering from theft of their material by internet pirates. According to this BBC article Pornographic films on BitTorrent: Flava Works gets huge damages, pirates who stole 10 gay porn movies were ordered to pay out $1.5 million to the victims of their theft.

Personally I think that these religious nutters need to grow up. Are these images really anything more than one persons opinionated take on the subject of Christianity? I for one do not want to live in in a world where something so harmless causes such reactions and the thought that this is happening in Europe is sickening. I cannot say that I like the type of images exhibited but that just means that I would not go to the gallery. There are more important things to protest about.
